Mountain Rose Seed

🌹 Mountain Rose Seed Germination Instructions

  1. Prepare the Soil: Carefully open the plastic container with the premixed seed soil. Gently press the soil to compact it lightly and create a flat, even surface. Moisten the soil evenly using a mini water pipette.
  2. Sow the Seeds: Locate the seed tube and gently tap the top to release the seeds. Space the seeds approximately 0.2 inches (about 5 mm) apart on the soil surface.
  3. Do Not Bury Seeds: Lightly mist the soil again to keep it moist—but avoid soaking. Cover the container with the plastic lid to retain moisture and maintain a humid environment throughout germination.
  4. Ideal Germination Conditions: Place the germination container in an area with indirect or filtered sunlight. Maintain temperatures between 65°F and 75°F (18°C - 24°C). Avoid high temperatures, as they can kill the seeds. Expect germination within 2 to 3 weeks.
  5. After Germination: When approximately 60–70% of seeds have sprouted, remove the plastic lid. Continue to keep seedlings in filtered sunlight, gradually introducing them to direct sunlight to avoid shock.
  6. Watering the Seedlings: Avoid overwatering. Water seedlings only when the top ¼ inch of soil feels dry. After about three months, allow the soil to dry out completely between watering to encourage healthy root growth.
  7. Transplanting: Once seedlings reach about three months old, carefully transplant them into larger pots with well-draining soil.
  8. Patience is Key: Germination rates can vary. Don’t be discouraged if seeds sprout at different times.
