♥10 Lapidaria Margaretae Seeds ♥

These authentic seeds usually take 2-3 weeks to germinate under proper conditions (Moisture, Light, Temperature, Air Circulation & etc) Don’t expect all the seed to germinate at the same time, some seeds might take longer than others. Planting instructions are included with each packet.

Lapidaria Margaretae resembles those genera (Lithops, Dinteranthus and Schwantesia) within the Aizoaceae family to which it is most closely related. However, while Lithops and Dinteranthus will typically only have one pair of leaves, Lapidaria margaretae has two to four pairs of leaves. Each leaf is up to 0.8 inch (2 cm) long and up to 0.4 inch (1 cm) wide. Clumps of up to three rosettes may be formed with age. It flowers with a single up to 2 inches (5 cm) wide yellow flower that can eclipse the plant. It opens during the day. The flowering might be solitary, or succeeded by up to two others.

Caution: (Seeds are TINY)
Please be very careful when opening the seed pack, seeds are extremely small and can be easily blown away.

Plant lithops seeds using conventional growing methods:

    1. Mix equal parts of potting mix and perlite. Moisten the mix with water, and fill it into a pot with drainage holes, up to about 1/2 inch from the top.
    2. Sprinkle the seeds over the soil. Don't bury the seeds.
    3. Fill a spray bottle with water and mist the soil with it. Try to keep the soil moist throughout the germination period. Cover the pot with plastic wrap or a glass pane to help promote the soil moisture retention.
    4. Place the pot in a warm, sunlit area. Aim for a temperature of approximately 65 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Place a heating mat underneath the pot, if needed. Expect the seeds to germinate within about 2-3 weeks.
    5. Transplant the seedlings to individual pots when the plants start to crowd and are big enough to handle. Place the pots in a sunny windowsill.
